Excellent English Conversation
Excellent English Conversation is the goal of ESL (& native!) speakers. It’s not easy and as aforementioned just being a native-speaker doesn’t guarantee that you have excellent English conversation skills. Like anything that we want to achieve or improve, Excellent English Conversation requires practice and real life performance. Sure, you may not be addressing a large group of people and standing at a podium on a stage but even an intelligent and engaging one-on-one conversation is like a performance.
At Bolder English we have a saying, ‘Throw me a thread & I’ll knit you a sweater’. Our American instructors are great at Excellent English Conversation, but more importantly they’re even better at getting you, the student or professional, to bring out your own Excellent English Conversation skills. We’ve had thousands of hours of classes to hone (sharpen) our conversation skills and we know some excellent questions that put the ball in your court. Do you ever wonder how such great American talk show hosts do it? I’m talking about people like David Letterman and Jon Stewart. First, they’re prepared, just like we are at Bolder English. We know all of our students intimately. Why? Because once our students register for our classes it’s common that they take classes for 6 month to a year. Some, even longer. So, after a few lessons we know what topics and key points of interest and study are best to introduce in the lesson. An excellent English conversation will begin with the natural enquiries from us that encourage the student to think outside-the-box. We’re never satisfied with simple one word answers like ‘yes’ or ‘no’. We have great techniques for drawing the most elaborate and interesting responses from our students, while offering appropriate and timely correction. Students are eager to try out all of the new excellent English conversation words, phrases and idiomatic expressions that we Americans are so good at (trust us, there are millions!).
So, if you’re looking to evolve your English conversation from so-so to excellent, contact us for a free lesson. Your skills will be noticed in the office and classroom in no time flat (Ha, another expression …)!
